And now it's October 2011

September went swimmingly, right up to our trip to New York to pick cortland apples at our favorite family orchard. The triathlon was fun and exciting. I lost a pant size due to not eating sugar five days a week. And Fintan found a kindergarten home at Sherman Oaks Charter.

October is my favorite month. Temperatures cool down by, you know, one or two degrees. We see our first sprinkles of precipitation (you can't usually call it rain here). It's deep into soccer season. And there's my favorite holiday of the year: Halloween! And this year we have Halloween carnivals at school, Halloween parties, and any other excuse to make and wear fun costumes.
